The LW530 kaolin clay classification decanter centrifuge is a mineral processing machine that separates kaolin slurry into a fine pigment fraction and coarse grit with a precisely controlled cut point. Kaolin is mined as a crude clay that must be refined to remove quartz sand, mica and other coarse impurities before it can be used in paper coating, ceramics, paint and rubber. Water washed kaolin processing traditionally relies on settling cones and hydrocyclones, which are slow and difficult to control. The LW530 replaces these steps with a continuous centrifugal classification that achieves sharper separation, higher recovery of the valuable fine fraction and stable product quality even when the feed varies between pits.
Centrifugal classification exploits the difference in settling velocity between fine clay platelets and coarse particles. By adjusting the bowl speed, feed rate and pond depth, the operator can shift the cut point to meet the specification of different customers, from paper filler grades to high brightness coating grades. The machine handles slurry with a high solids content, reducing the need for pre thickening, and its scroll conveyor continuously discharges the coarse grit while the fine clay suspension overflows for further processing by bleaching, filtering and drying. Abrasion protection is extensive because kaolin slurry is naturally abrasive, with hard faced conveyor flights and replaceable wear liners in the solids discharge area.

The LW530 is applied in kaolin beneficiation plants producing paper coating clay, ceramic grade kaolin and filler clay, as well as in processing of calcium carbonate, talc, titanium dioxide and other industrial minerals requiring wet classification. It dewaters mineral concentrates, thickens tailings and recovers fines from wash water. In mining operations the same machine classifies ore slurries and dewaters flotation concentrates, proving its value across the mineral processing industry.
Packaging & Quality AssuranceEach LW530 is assembled and balanced in our workshop, with a full speed trial run and vibration report included in the delivery documentation. The machine is packed with the rotating assembly locked and protected against the humidity of ocean transport. We supply foundation drawings, piping layout, electrical diagrams and a detailed maintenance manual, together with a recommended spare parts list covering wear tiles, bearings and seals. The warranty period is 12 months, and our engineers provide commissioning supervision and operator training to ensure the classification performance is achieved from the first week of operation.
